Whole Class Meet
This week, Week 3 of Distance Learning, was a time for us to experience using Google Meet so that we could extend our online learning from solitary to group sessions. The majority of us had not used Google Meet before, so the learning target for our initial 'meet' was Google Meet 101 - How to navigate our way around the screen, when to mute and when to talk.With the first 'meet' (for most of us) under our belt, we decided that we would try a whole class 'meet' this morning. I wasn't sure how many would turn up and was excited to see 21 familiar faces on the screen. With the mute button engaged, our chat screen became very busy with 'hi' and 'lol' having regular appearances :) We played a scavenger hunt and shared our weekend plans - a mix of indoor and more outdoor activity, now that we're at Level 3. Some family pets made it onscreen too!
The 'meet' wrapped up with a very laggy 'happy birthday' for Aditha, who celebrated his 11th birthday last Monday.

Wow, Room 1 it looks like you engaged in some great learning with Google Meets this week. Well done for taking on the challenge and figuring out some new technology, you're definitely using those Growth gems!
Room 1 well done on meeting with your teacher and peers via google meets. It sure is a great way to keep in contact.
Well this is the third time I have tried to type this 'blog'...thinking I really need my own device! Great to see everyone enjoying Goggle Meets and getting to chat and actually see one another again...it's been a while! I'm taking the technology challenge this week with Goggle Meets and the little ones in Room 8...I'm sure they will be way more onto it than me! Great to see all the neat activities you are all taking on and new skills you are finding...fantastic self portrait Pasindu...amazing!
