Share and Shine

Design and creativity seem to be the most popular choice in our Distance Learning programme. Here's a snapshot of what Jazlyn and Finlay have been up to.

What a great new use for an old pair of Jeans Jazlyn!
What a great brochure Finlay, there are some fantastic places around our region to explore.

Wow Jazlyn and Neo that is so cool. Upcycling is such a great thing to do and also great for the environment as now these jeans will not get thrown away. Maybe you could send us a picture of the finished product, you may even be able to convince mum to model these for you to show us. I am sure Finlay that many people will be keen to use your Great Escape brochure to get out and about once we are out of lockdown. I will be a starter. Mrs K

Busy busy people again...I'm commenting in a slightly different way so hope this works!!
I'm super impressed with Jazlyn and her brothers idea of recycling and redesigning jeans into a skirt for their Mum! I think I was most impressed that Jazlyn can use a sewing machine...these days not many people can actually sew or even own a sewing machine...really fantastic!! I too have a jeans skirt made out of a number of old jeans which I bought a few years ago..I will have to dig it out of my wardrobe and wear it to school...I love it...however Mr Waite is not so kind about it and says it looks a bit like a 'train reck'...each to their own I guess!!
Finlay has had a very busy time during lockdown and certainly has some great new skills...from baking yummy scones and now his 'Great Escape' map...neat way to enjoy our local special spots...and actually how lucky are we, so many to choose from...well done!!
Can't wait for todays challenge updates...Fiona Waite L/A
