Have you viewed Mrs Driver's 'Welcome Back' video? I get the feeling that she loves using filters on Snapchat!  Perhaps you could make a short video about your 'Distance Learning' for Mrs Driver. You might be able to use mum or dad's Snapchat app on their phone, or you could create your own costume with material, paper, cardboard etc.  I'd love to see your finished video - email it to me!

It's been exciting to read the stories that you are sharing with me and I can't wait to read the finished versions. Remember to check your writing with 'fresh eyes' and use technology to help with editing. Perhaps ask someone in your bubble to give you some feedback too.

I think one of the difficult moments during our current 'isolation' at home is missing out on being able to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries with our family and friends.  Fortunately, technology has enabled us to get in touch with a phone call and some have even gone a step further with a 'virtual' party! 

Since we last saw each other, we have had two birthdays within our One Odd Bunch.  Emily's was on the 8th and Bree's was on the 9th of April.  Both turned 'legs-eleven' (for those who like me, enjoy a game of BINGO every now and then). So....

Welcome to Distance Learning

Welcome to Term 2

Good morning 'One Odd Bunch'!  How have you been?  I've had a really good break, although it was certainly a LOT different to my usual Easter holiday.  What was yours like?  Below is a rather loooooooong video (sorry), to explain how to access our Kauri Distance Learning programme, navigate your way around the amazing learning opportunities and some ideas for sharing and shining.

Please take the time to look through all the various learning areas, then make a learning timetable.  Remember to include time for the physical, creating and mindfulness activities because I do not want you sitting down all day!

Oh, almost forgot!  Each day there will be a 'Daily Challenge'.  Today's challenge is to pick a chore that you can do to help out around the home (something more than making your bed).  Get someone to take a picture of you completing this chore and post it - along with a blurb, to this shared Google Presentation (I've emailed you the link and also shared it to your Inquiry folder). Can't wait to see what you achieve :)

If you have not - ever - never had a Read Theory account, then you will need to create one of these first, before joining our class.   REMEMBER to make sure that first, your device is logged in as your Sunnyhills School email account. You can then select 'Log in with Google'.

Then you can follow the instructions from the video below.  From the top of the home page, select 'My Teachers' then go to the bottom of the page and type in our Class Code which is WB30SL4W
